CedarKids
CedarKids Children’s Church
Our mission as a church family is to focus on God and honor God by using the creativity He has blessed us with to worship Him and serve Him by serving other people through local and international missions.
We believe and teach the children in the following basic truths:
That God is the one and only true God. He exists in three persons: God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God has created us all and all in our world, thus we are stewards of His creation and what He has blessed us with. God purposefully and knowingly works to bring about His will in our lives through His loving, righteous, merciful, gracious and healing ways.
The Movers - Nursery
Gathering for God’s Kingdom
The CedarKid’s Movers provides a loving and playful environment designed to care for and nurture children from birth through the age of 3. It is our vision to minister the love of Jesus to each child, at their level. Our screened and trained nursery volunteers are privileged to have the first opportunity in your baby’s life to create a positive church experience. We want our babies to know the name of Jesus; to know that He loves them and that we love to praise Him in prayer and song. We also want them to know that we love our Bible. We are faithful to pray and speak scripture over these precious babies.
The Crew - Preschool thru 5th grade

Building God’s Kingdom
Our CedarKid’s Crew ministry is a place where we meet friends, have fun, talk about God, and participate in a time of meaningful worship. The Bible says that Jesus grew as a child “in wisdom & stature, and in favor with God and man.” The focus of our children’s ministry is to grow more like Christ in our thoughts, attitudes, expressions and actions, giving our kids an early advantage toward full-life development. The Crew uses the 252Basics curriculum. This curriculum is well organized and deliberate in teaching our children God’s word and how it applies to every day life. Each Sunday your child can be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, and skits that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level. Our children’s service meets at the same time as the adult service and is designed for all children from Kindergarten through sixth grade. So while you are experiencing life-changing worship at CedarRidge Church, your children are experiencing it as well.
July
Each month your child will be learning a different virtue from the Bible. We teach the children that a virtue is something God wants to do in you to change the world around you.
In the month of July, the virtue of SELF-CONTROL is being taught through Bible lessons, activities, crafts, games, and interactive skits. Our Bible verse for July is "Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls." Proverbs 25:28 NKJV. Self-Control - choosing to do what you should do - not what you want to do – is something ALL people in every walk of life need to cultivate within themselves to create a better world around them. Self-Control has many blessed benefits. Our kids will be learning that if you don’t have self-control, somebody (or yourself) is going to get hurt! Self-control can be an especially challenging issue in the summer time, when folk’s have a tendency to over eat, over sleep, watch too much TV, play too many video games, and spend too much money. God wants everyone to remember that just a few words can make a big difference - so we have to have self-control in what we say to others! We will also learn about how we need to use self-control when it comes to making decisions based on the way something looks. Self-control involves seeing what we SHOULD see instead of what we WANT to see. It also involves reacting as we SHOULD instead of how we WANT to react, and not losing our tempers.
VOLUNTEER
Want to come check it out yourself? Parents are always welcome to come sit in and observe our classes. We believe the best way for parents to be involved in their child’s church experience is to become a part of the team who teaches your child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greet families to teach and lead kids in worship.
